I am really getting tired of race bating. What happened to Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream that little white children hold hands with little African-American children in a state of color blind love? I was raised to be color blind and all children are naturally color blind and respond to love and friendship regardless of race, religion or orientation. THIS article caught my attention just now about how in California they are protesting the fact that the school system hired a white teacher to teach ethnic studies. I have noticed an increase of articles like this one, where white people seem to be degraded or deprived of opportunities just because they are Caucasian.
When I was a kid my aunt always sent me black dolls because she was convinced that we were in fact black because part of my family is Syrian (which is technically in Africa). I always loved my dolls. I never even considered their color. Likewise, my daughter has all sorts of dolls and they are all beautiful. In high school I went to a theology camp at Emory University’s Candler School of Divinity one summer. We went to all kinds of religious establishments and enjoyed seeing the different expressions of religion in different cultures. One day we had a guest lecturer give a colloquium about racism. She was a passionate young black woman who explained to us that only white people can be racist because they are in the majority and only the minorities can suffer racism. I don’t even think this was true because then and now I believe statistically there are more multi-racial families and white is a minority. Regardless, I was horrified by what she said and raised my hand to ask: “hey wait a second, can’t there be hatred/hate crimes against people who are any color, any religion or because of gender, age or sexual orientation? Isn’t it all hate and unacceptable?” She explained to me how white people are demons and historically the persecutors. I asked about black slave owners in the USA and the fact that slavery was a world-wide practice since the dawn of time in all cultures. Obviously, slavery is unacceptable no matter what race is being enslaved. Can’t we find a unity, a focus of love? This woman insisted no, its just the bad white people who ruined the world and continue to unilaterally express hate crimes and racism. I wondered, who even made up the race divisions and by what standards did they divide groups because some of it seems a bit strange: for example, if you are Arab you are considered Caucasian even if you appear black. Race never did make much sense to me, even as a kid. It still confuses me.
I taught at an Islamic school where my students were a majority of darker skinned individuals. Some were Arab, some were Pakistani, some were Turkish, some were Iranian, some were hispanic, some were nigerian or African and a very few were white. One day during a standardized test my second graders had to check a race box. None of them understood what to check. I said to my class well most of you are caucasian, a few are African-American and a few are hispanic. They immediately started to hold up their arms and compare their skin, like this is the first time that it even dawned upon them that they were different. They were confused because some of the African-Americans were lighter than some of the caucasians. I said to them, “race is a fake thing made by scientists to classify people and we are all one, we are all loved by God and lets just forget this stupid idea of race and love everyone.” I was really amazed that my kids seemed harmed by such a test that asked such a question about race and classified them into little obscene boxes based on something they certainly had no control about; birth and genes.
I remember as a kid when we learned about slavery in the states and were somehow made to feel guilty if we were white, like somehow we participated in the everlasting guilt of what was done in the past; as if modern day jews all killed jesus and are eternally responsible or something. I then thought to myself, hey wait a moment, my family is all immigrants (I am first/second generation). No one in my family had slaves in the USA, that is a fact; ahhhhhh relief I share no responsibility. Then I thought, well why should I be made to feel guilty just because I am white? My best friend when I was little was, in fact, African-American. She died and it traumatized me for years and I always thought to myself that race divisions made no sense because if I had not made this wonderful friend and enjoyed her while she was alive I would have sincerely missed out on a very loving, fleeting existence of a friend whom I will always love and cherish.
I am really disgusted how the media/the Obama administration is so quick to say if you don’t agree with whatever liberty crushing, Constitution destroying agenda they posit you must disagree simply due to the fact you are a racist. Certain words are even racist now, and ‘politically incorrect’ like ‘bossy.’ This is strait up manipulation of emotions. I want freedom, truth, human rights, love, education, health, wealth, talent and opportunity for all people in all races/genders/orientations. I want gun rights for all races. It is a time for unity, not divisions and I am sick of the media constantly creating a race division. They want to divide and conquer us but everything that is good in the world is what unites us. Love unites us, freedom unites us, a shared vision of human rights unites us.
I have always been very pro-life and am disgusted that eugenics is an overt attack on African-Americans. I notice in all the talk of racism in the media usually doesn’t highlight the historical eugenics attack on black babies. I really enjoy listening to Alveda King, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece and her exposure of human rights in terms of eugenics/abortion and the attack on the African-American community, SEE HERE. If you really care about race equality and race issues, google ‘black genocide abortion’ and see the horrifying statists, like HERE. You don’t hear Mr. Obama, he loves the children and hates racists discussing the issue of black genocide. No, you just hear about how if you don’t agree on his socialist stance you must be a racist.
I predict that they will ride their disgusting race baiting horse until being white is a matter of shame and guilt; being white is nearly a crime. It almost is, and race crimes against whites are increasing by the day….in fact they are being cheered on by our horrid media. Enough is enough. I maintain my prediction that a time for racial unity is on the horizon, despite their nasty efforts to divide us. The truth is that we will unite in love and freedom and desire for human rights for all people. We are not fooled by their asinine race propaganda-manipulation. I suggest we return to color blind immediately and we become pro-humanity and pro-life and pro-freedom and pro-human rights. Luckily they don’t control the dialogue anymore. Hey, it isn’t like we just woke up and realized we elected a black president twice. Further, luckily, African-Americans are becoming the leaders against Obama and how he has failed our country. The time to stand up together against oppression and slavery is now.
